Lead Flashings

Lead Flashings

Lead flashings are a weatherproofing material used to seal gaps and prevent water from entering buildings.

It’s often used in roofing and construction to provide a durable and long-lasting seal around chimneys, vents, and other openings in the roof. Lead flashing is made from thin sheets of lead that are bent and then moulded to fit the contours of the roof, creating a water-resistant barrier that helps to prevent leaks and water damage.

Lead flashings are a traditional flue flashing. The lead is malleable and can fit in with the contours of profiled roof tiles as well as working well with slate roofs. The collar is lead welded to the flashing and sized to fit tightly around a twin wall flue. Please note that lead roof flashings, can also accommodate a chimney system that passes through a roof ridge line.
